Privacy & Data Protection Policy

The General Data Protection Regulations, GDPR, came into effect on 25 May 2018. In accordance with this regulation, this policy outlines our procedures for collecting, storing and processing personal information (data). Personal data means any detail about a living individual that can be used on its own, or with other data, to identify that individual. The aims of the new legislation, known as ‘data protection principles’ ensures information is:

When you email us, subscribe to our newsletter, complete our online sign up form or provide us with your contact information, you agree to being contacted via email from us.

Portions of the website allow you to book rooms, make requests, create a customer account and/or register to receive marketing materials.

  • our therapist online booking system (Setmore) collects Credit/Debit Card Information via our payment provider (Square). Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing Co-operative Ltd does not have access to this information.

Other information we collect from Therapists before offering any services:

  • Evidence of qualifications and accreditations applicable to the services you provide
  • Evidence of public and professional liability insurance
  • You may be asked to provide additional references
  • We may ask you to provide Enhanced DBS and your Risk Assessment plan 

The way we use this information:

The information you provide about yourself or another party when placing an order will be used only to complete the order.

For Therapists: Therapy Spaces Cheshire will not disclose your personal information to any outside organisation unless your have requested us to do so.  If you a are a Therapist you may have requested us to disclose personal information (email, mobile number) if you have signed up to receive referrals.  

For General User: As a general user of this website looking for a therapist you may have requested (either in writing or verbally)that  Therapy Spaces Cheshire disclose personal information (email, mobile number, information you provide to us either in writing or verbally) to facilitate contact from a therapist who uses our services.  All therapist who use our services have had their qualifications, accreditations and insurance details verified.  We personally meet with all therapists to check these credentials.

If you supply us with your e-mail address, you may receive e-mails from us announcing product information, events, or updates to our website. If you do not want receive these, please email [email protected] indicating your e-mail address. 

We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.

We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How to correct your information

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error.  To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

How we Use Cookies
