Terms & Conditions

Therapy Spaces Cheshire is a trading name for Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing Co-operative Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company number 1612989) our registered office is Wood Street Mill, 45 Pickford Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 6HB (“the practice” or “we”).  

This agreement is between Therapy Spaces Cheshire of the above address (“the practice”) and the therapist (“the therapist”). 

The practice:

  • provides therapeutic spaces to hire, to enable the therapist to consult with a client/clients (“client” or “clients”) in comfortable and discrete surroundings enabling the therapist to provide therapeutic services (“services”).

Our services are available to the therapist on the following terms and conditions:

  • the therapist must provide information of their accreditations to practice, keep these up-to-date and adhere to their professional code of ethics (the practice will require evidence of this to set up an account).
  • the therapist must have all the necessary consents and approvals to provide services to their clients (if required Enhanced DBS and Safeguarding policy) and there is no pending investigation or proceedings that might adversely affect their ability to provide services to clients (the practice may require additional evidence of this)
  • the therapist must provide evidence of their insurance cover including public and professional liability and other other indemnity insurance that is reasonable in the circumstances and ensures that the practice is fully protected against any loss, damage or other liability that we incur by providing services to the therapist
  • the therapist must provide assurance that this indemnity also extends to any tax or National Insurance contributions in respect of any payment that the therapist receives from a client
  • assurance must be provided by the the therapist that they will not see any client at the practice without appropriate insurance cover in place
  • the therapist agrees that they retain responsibility for ensuring that premiums are paid and all appropriate insurances are properly maintained.
  • the agreement between the practice and the therapist is for a booked and paid space for an allocated time

The Therapist agrees:

  • not to tell clients that they hold qualifications experience or accreditations that they do not in fact have 
  • to promptly disclose to the practice any complaints, disciplinary action or suspensions related to their work as a health care practitioner
  • to use the space (including parking) only during the hours that have been booked and paid.  
  • to vacate the space (including parking) promptly at the end of the allocated time booked for the session and to leave the room and any other facilities used clean, orderly and secure at the end of their unit of time
  • to ensure the ‘no outdoor shoe’ policy in both the therapy rooms and hallway leading to the therapy rooms is adhered to.  Shoes that have never been used outdoors and slippers may be used in the therapy rooms and hallway.  We also provide overshoe covers.
  • to not use the space for any illegal or inappropriate purposes including (but not limited to) smoking, drug use, alcohol consumption, gambling, violent behaviour, or any other purpose that is likely to reflect negatively on the practice or other therapists that use the premises
  • to not use any electrical equipment which has not passed appropriate statutory tests.  To not light or allow candles, incense sticks or naked flames, nor permit any unpleasant odours in the space
  • to acknowledge that use of any space for a specific period does not give them any tenancy or other rights to use the space or any part of the premises.  The therapist can not assign, sub-let, charge, share/part possession of the practice facilities on their assigned booking period to any third party
  • to inform the practice promptly of any damage or repair required to the premises
  • to pay for any damage to furnishings or equipment that occurs as a result of their use, or their client’s use, of the practice (this does not include every day wear and tear which the practice accepts as its responsibility)
  • the practice will provide the therapist with a security fob which gives access to the building and the therapy rooms for the booking period.  The therapist agrees that this fob will be kept secure at all times, will not be shared with a third party, if lost or misplaced the therapist will contact the practice immediately (Beverley Goodwin - [email protected]).  The practice will block the fob so it cannot be used.  If the fob is lost the therapist will be charged £10 for a replacement.  The therapist will return the fob if then have not made any room bookings in the preceding ten weeks.
  • to only use the car parking facilities on the basis that it is allocated for a specific session and cannot be used at any other time.  The therapist acknowledges that parking is provided by the practice as an extra facility which it endeavours, but cannot guarantee, to provide for the duration of the room hire.
  • The therapist acknowledges that it is their sole responsibility for ensuring their car registration is entered into the tablet in reception on entering the building.  Therefore any car parking fines as a result of omitting to enter their car registration, or an error in entering their car registration shall be their responsibility. 

Marketing

  • this agreement is with Therapy Spaces Cheshire.  As such, permission is granted to “The Therapist” to refer to “Therapy Spaces Cheshire” in any marketing, publicity, information or other such materials.
  • permission is not granted to “the therapist” to refer to “Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing Co-operative Ltd” “Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing Co-operative” or “Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing”, which has different membership requirements to Therapy Spaces Cheshire.  Please see attached document “Membership Criteria: Silk House Therapy & Wellbeing Co-operative Ltd”.  The co-operative welcomes enquiries from therapists who meet its membership criteria.

Referrals

  • therapists who agree and meet the above terms and conditions may opt-in to receiving referrals from the practice. They may also choose to be included on the Therapy Spaces Cheshire website (on the provision of suitable images and copy).  The practice shall not be under any obligation to refer any specific number of clients neither shall the therapist be under any obligation to accept a client referred by the practice
  • should the therapist opt-in to receiving client referrals from the practice they agree to not seeing meeting consulting with the referred client anywhere else other than at the practice 

Payment for Services 

  • the therapist is asked to pay for the Services in advance.  Current fees are £13.00 per hour for a 1 hour booking, £12.00 per hour for a 2 hour booking, £11.00 per hour for a 3+ hour booking.  These may change from time to time and the current tariff for our fees can be found on our website. 
  • in case of cancellation(s) the therapist must cancel their booking in our online booking system (Setmore) and it is advisable to inform the practice by email ([email protected]) as follows: 1-2 hour bookings require a minimum of 24 hours notice; 3-4 hours require a minimum of 48 hours notice; cancellations of 5+ hours require at least 4 working days notice.  This policy covers same day consecutive and non-consecutive bookings.
  • Where the cancellation meets the minimum requirement or more, the practice will credit the therapists booking account to the value of the cancelled booking.  This credit can be used for future bookings by emailing ([email protected]) with date, time, room which will be allocated if available.  Refunds are also possible with the agreement that payment processing fees will be the responsibility of the therapist.
  • if the practice needs to cancel: despite our best efforts there may be unforeseen circumstances  which require the practice to cancel a booking.  We will give the therapist as much notice as possible given the circumstances and notify them using the contact information provided by the therapist.  Should the practice cancel we will offer the therapist the choice of either a full refund or a rescheduled booking.  The practice is not liable for any additional charges or incidentals as a result of cancellation.

Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

Our terms and conditions form the basis of the legal agreement between us and nothing else varies these terms and conditions unless it has been agreed in writing by one of our directors.

By making a booking with us, you are acknowledging that you understand our terms and conditions and the fact that the use of any space will be subject to these terms and conditions, as well as the fact that we are not making any assurances as to the suitability of the Premises or their use by you.

Termination of Agreement

We reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you at our discretion and refund any advance payment for any services not yet used.  

By booking, paying and using the practice you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.  ​
